Information Systems and Organisation Studies

Information Systems and Organisation Studies

Business organisations use information technologies and systems to achieve corporate objectives and as a solution to a variety of business challenges and problems. This course will deal with the behavioural as well as the technical issues surrounding the development, use, and impact of information systems used by managers and employees in the firm. The course also surveys ‘classical’ ideas about organization, conceived of in terms of rationalisation and humanisation, whilst explaining how these two are inter-related.
